2027 Toyota Highlander Coming Soon to Toyota of Bozeman

The Toyota Highlander enters a new chapter for 2027. While it retains the family-friendly three-row configuration we’re familiar with, that’s about the only constant you’ll find. That’s because the new Highlander is adopting a battery-powered, all-electric powertrain, and a new look to match. Early returns already put it on the verge of being the best-looking Toyota SUVs on the lot, but how does the all-electric powertrain hold up? Below, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the new Toyota EV, from the 2027 Toyota Highlander’s charge range to the release date. While we’re still gathering information about Toyota’s new EV, we’ll preview everything we know about the new Highlander so far. Be the first to drive the new electric Toyota Highlander with Toyota of Bozeman!
2027 Toyota Highlander EV Powertrain
The new EV Toyota SUV will come with your choice of motor configurations. Base models will receive a single motor that makes 221 horsepower, routed to the front wheels. Dual-motor models will get all-wheel drive, with 338 horsepower on tap. We’re expecting the Toyota EV to be quick and quiet, just like the rest of Toyota’s all-electric lineup. The base Highlander EV will come with a 77.0-kWh battery pack, which should get you 270 miles of range per charge. The larger AWD battery should offer up to 320 miles of total driving range. Every model should come standard with an NACS charging port, making it compatible with Tesla Supercharger stations. Current estimates have the Highlander charging from 10 to 80 percent in about half an hour at DC fast chargers.
2027 Highlander EV Features
Up front, you should find plenty of screens across the dashboard, including a digital gauge cluster and an infotainment screen that occupies a large swath of the dash. We’re partial to buttons around here, though, and the new Highlander seems to retain enough analog controls to balance your driving experience. Faux-leather and ambient lighting should be standard features. The second row comes with captain's chairs that fold forward at the touch of a button. The two-row back seat should be about the same size as the current gas Highlander. Folding the third row should allow you to use about 45 cubic feet of cargo space.
All-Electric Toyota Highlander Technology
The standard 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen connects to Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also offers wireless mirroring, integrated audio apps, and 5G connectivity. A 6-speaker stereo is standard fare, with an optional 11-speaker JBL stereo system available. The infotainment unit sits next to a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, home to all your gauges. Standard safety features are set to include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring. There will also be options for park assist and lane change assistance. Stay tuned as we learn more about the new Toyota EV SUV!
