New Toyota 4Runner for Sale at Toyota of Bozeman, MT

Have you had your eye on a new Toyota 4Runner for a while? Now’s the perfect time to pull the trigger. This production cycle, the Toyota 4Runner enters a new generation, boasting a brand-new crop of technology features and a brand-new look. The 4Runner still shares a platform with the beloved Toyota Tacoma, but now boasts a larger grille and fascia with a squared-off look. The sixth-gen 4Runner also adds more cargo space to the interior while updating the cabin to make it a little bit more modern. The 4Runner benefits from new looks and extra bells and whistles; its attitude stays the same: offering a do-it, rugged ethos that’s perfect for your next off-road adventure. We’ll preview everything that makes the new Toyota SUV great, from the 4Runner fuel efficiency rating to the towing capacity. If you’d like to explore the new Toyota 4Runner in Bozeman, MT, visit Toyota of Bozeman today.

New 4Runner Towing Capacity and Performance

The 4Runner still borrows the same engine found in the Toyota Tacoma: a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder that pairs with an eight-speed automatic and makes 278 horsepower. RWD is the norm, but there's an optional four-wheel drive configuration. All sorts of off-road features are available on the 4Runner, including a locking rear differential, off-road cruise control, and disconnecting stabilizer bars. There’s also a hybrid option that combines the same engine with an electric motor to up your output to 326 horsepower. Both are capable of towing up to 6,000 lbs. The hybrid 4Runner gets 23 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, while the traditional powertrain will get 22 mpg combined. Toyota 4Runner Trim Levels and Features

The 4Runner has always been heralded for its spacious cabin, and cargo space only increases with the incoming generation. The 4Runner has up to 89.7 cubic feet of total cubic feet, with 46.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear row, plenty enough for all your camping gear, or even a small mattress. The 4Runner has 12 trim options. 6 hybrid, 6 gas:

  • Toyota 4Runner SR5
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport Premium
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
  • Toyota 4Runner Limited
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road i-Force Max
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium i-Force Max
  • Toyota 4Runner Limited i-Force Max
  • Toyota 4Runner Platinum
  • Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro
  • Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter

There’s not a bad selection of the bunch. The base option can even be equipped with a third row if you need the extra space. If you plan on using the 4Runner as an off-roader, we’d start with the TRD Off-Road, which adds Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, crawl control, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. If you want something a bit more plush, the Sport Premium has heated and ventilated seats, plus a hands-free power liftgate and a power rear window. Of course, off-road features and amenities increase as you work your way up the trim options.

New Toyota 4Runner Technology

The new 4Runner sees a complete overhaul to its technology package, starting with its newly standard 8.0-inch infotainment display. It runs wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but many trim levels come with a larger 14.0-inch display screen and a 12.3-inch digital cluster behind the steering wheel. USB-C ports are littered throughout the cabin, and a wireless charger comes on some trim levels. The Toyota App also allows for remote lock, unlock, and start. The 4Runner’s safety suite is comprehensive, with standard adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and emergency braking.
